Shiva Shrestha won the Lifetime Achievement Award

Actress Rekha Thapa was awarded the best actress award for her role in ‘Kasle Choryo Mero Man’ in Box Office Film Award 2069, held on Friday December 7, 2012 in Dubai. Rekha was also the best actress in Viewer’s Choice. Among actors, Rajesh Hamal won the Viewer’s Choice award and Aryan Sigdel won the best actor award. Producer Chhabi Raj Ojha was awarded the viewer’s choice award (producer). The best movie was declared to be ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. Best movie in Viewer’s Choice category was ‘First Love’. The best director award was awarded to Suraj Subba for ‘Bato Muni Ko Phool’. In the event, awards in 31 different categories were awarded.
Actor Shiva Shrestha was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award. Other actors honored during the ceremony include actor Bhuwan KC, Suman Singh, Mohankrishna Shrestha, Madhukar Shrestha, and Sunil Manandhar.

The cine award program was organized jointly by Sunhills Cinema Production and Box Office Filmy Club Nepal in Dubai. The Nepali ambassador for Dubai, Dhananjaya Jha was the chief guest of the ceremony where many of Nepali film personalities were present. Box Office Film Award 2069 is the first such film award hosted in foreign soil in the Nepali movie industry’s history.

In the event, actress Rekha Thapa, singer Nisha Sunar, actress Poojana Pradhan, actor Suman Singh, dancer Shankar BC, Bhawana Dhakal, singer Muna Thapa presented various cultural programs.

Beauty contest among Rajbanshi beauties was held on December 8, 2012, in Biratnagar. In the event, Miss Rajbanshi 2012crown was awarded to Rebika Rajbanshi of Panchgachi, Jhapa.

In the contest, Sapana Rajbanshi was awarded the runner-up and Usha Rajbanshi was the second runner-up of the contest. The title winner received a cash prize of Rs. 25,000, the first runner-up received Rs. 15,000 and the second runner-up was awarded Rs. 10,000.


The beauty contest, organized by Social Organisation Of Rajbanshi Abroginies (SORA) is the second such contest. The 2011 edition of Miss Rajbanshi had awarded Radhika Rajbanshi the Miss Rajbanshi 2011 title.

Yeshodha Rajbanshi was awarded the Best Smile title, Best Catwalk was awarded to Kanchan Rajbanshi, Best Skin title to Sapana Rajbanshi, Best Figure was Divya Rajbanshi, Best Hair was Shilpa Rajbanshi, and Miss Photogenic was Sapana Rajbanshi.
